Today I was contacted by a reporter from the Korean Times, who wanted to do an interview on me about my love for K-pop. He had met me during an opening ceremony for the Local Korean Senior Center (at which I volunteer - I teach ESL), and as the only non-Korean, I stood out like a sore thumb (not to mention, I towered over just about everyone there - and I was wearing flats). So over the next few weeks, I really need to get my site up and running, as I kind of sort of mentioned it to said reporter - - - OOPS (what was I thinking)...it's not ready....not ready at all. Well, here we go...fast tracking it, so that I can actually give it out to be viewed by at least the Korean Reporter (let's hope he does not mention it in the article).

WOW...trying to get this all set up so its more visible and can be find on a Google or Yahoo or Bing search....problems start....having to sign up for multiple accounts (Google analytics, etc.) well, by the time I am done with this, I will be a whole lot more versed in the jargon of Computer Geek speech...what's not to love about that I ask myself. Can only help. RIGHT! well, on top of that, I now have decided to start on another website, and the only thing I have done so far, is think of a name....this site does have priority and I am still adding as we go. Even if it does not look
...as well as figuring out how to import PDF documents and still researching on a chat widget. I am just a Stay at home Mom, pursuing a degree in Healthcare; which is far from Computer programing or website creating. Either way, I shall succeed and I am doing my best to get this site up and running. Suggestions on what to include, or how to make it better, are always welcome. But there is so much information to type up, save and import, that a screaming 2 year old little girl, keeps me from getting much accomplished. Also, I am trying to take apart my "Learn Korean" beginners book, scan it, and somehow have it be on the language page. Well, its a work in progress, and so far, I am proud of what I have accomplished.
Well, considering that I did publish this site one months before I wanted to, I am making some headwind. Although, with the holidays coming up, and family functions, I probably will get behind. Hoping to do a collaboration with a few additional people, so that I can get this up and running a lot faster.
As with most traditions, a lot of people don't follow them any longer. Well, I have to say, I am not breaking tradition on this one. Either way, there are some traditions that will be passed on to my daughter.
On another note, I have narrowed a chat engine down to 4 possibilities, but unless I test all 4, I am not going to post it on here just yet. At least my homepage is fixed, and I need to be more careful with importing html widgets. They can cause a whole lot of grief, and a few hours spent, trying to find the mistake. On another note, after doing a lot of research over the past 6 months or so, about South Korea, of course the occasional tid bit about North Korea appeared on the blip. And then I was also approached by South Korean Dr. and his wife, who were campaigning for the release of a mother and her two daughters, out of a North Korean Labor camp. It was rather sad to hear the story about their lives, and it really made me want to reach out and help. In hindsight, I am now considering also adding some information about North Korea to my site. ...rather than a completes website. I accidentally launched my site almost a month, before it was supposed to launch. My tentative launch date was supposed to be 1.1.2012. So a lot more work has to go into this and then kept current. In the meantime, I have many more ideas, and am playing around with them as we speak. Although some of them, are being realized, some may get filed in the "discard" folder inside my brain.
Well, the first post is always the hardest, but here goes. After being introduced to K-Pop by my Cousin from Canada via a Facebook Video of a Korean Boy Band, I COMPLETELY immersed myself into anything South Korean. K-Pop, K-Drama, K- Food.....etc. It even went so far as me taking language lessons at a Korean School in my local area. Thank you cousin [ 사촌(sa chon)].
